Privacy policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how Raccoon collects and uses information when you use raccoonshield.com.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: email, display name, password (stored only as a hash).
- Data you provide: domains, watch keywords, redirect/canonical lists, Cloudflare tokens (encrypted), your own SMTP and Telegram settings if any, evidence images and documents.
- Operational data: your account’s activity log, check results, and technical data needed to run the service (such as IP addresses in server logs).
- Payments: plan status and transaction history. Card or wallet details are handled by the payment provider; Raccoon does not store card numbers.
2. How we use it
- To provide the features you use: monitoring, lookups, drafting and sending reports, managing redirects.
- To send the Telegram or email alerts you have turned on.
- To keep accounts secure, detect abuse and fix problems.
We do not sell personal data and do not use your data for advertising.
3. Sharing with third parties
To deliver features, some data is sent to outside services — only what each one needs:
- Domains/URLs being checked: VirusTotal, Google Safe Browsing, URLhaus, Spamhaus, urlscan.io, search services.
- Actions on your domains: Cloudflare (using the token you provide).
- Alerts and email: Telegram, your email (SMTP) provider.
- Payments: NOWPayments, PayPal, Stripe — depending on the method you choose.
- Takedown report contents: sent to the recipients you approve (registrars, hosts, platforms…).
- Hosting: DigitalOcean and the database provider.
We may disclose information when required by law.
4. Cookies and browser storage
Raccoon uses one sign-in cookie (HttpOnly) to keep your session, and browser storage for preferences such as language or your last chosen redirect type. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
5. Retention and deletion
Data is kept while your account is active. You can delete connections, domains and rules yourself in the app, or ask for your account and all its data to be deleted by emailing [email protected]. Technical backups, if any, are removed on the hosting provider’s schedule.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent for optional features (such as Telegram alerts). Send requests to [email protected]; we will respond as soon as we can.
7. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top is updated. For significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email.
